Pro Tips

Small moves that make the checklist easier to finish

Pack two singlets: one for weigh-ins and a fresh one for lifting. Sweat, chalk, and anxiety can make the first one uncomfortable, and a clean singlet feels better for performance.
Don't waste energy watching every lifter. Stay in your zone, track your flight and attempts, and only pay attention to the platform when your flight is called. Excessive standing or pacing drains mental and physical reserves.
Have a 'Plan B' for your openers and second attempts. If you feel unexpectedly fatigued or miss your opener, know what lighter weight you'll drop to. Flexibility prevents a downward spiral on meet day.
